| Jeff was born and raised in Passaic, New Jersey. As a young boy, Jeff began taking drum lessons with Columba Forte, aka: Carl Wolf of Bloomfield New Jersey at the age of 12. He played a variety of music styles with a number of bands on the East Coast ranging from straight ahead Rock n’ Roll, to Big Band Jazz, to down right nasty Funk. Jeff’s own distinctive style, timing, and showmanship made him one of the most respected drummers on the East Coast. Deciding it was time for a change and looking for warmer weather and a different music scene, Jeff loaded his drums into his car and drove to California. After auditioning for several groups, he decided to join a band from Seattle, that later became known as RUSSIA. They played the Los Angeles scene, secured a recording contract with Warner Brothers Records, and shared the same stage along with Journey, Cheap Trick, and Def Lepard at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Jeff’s contributions to the project included not only drumming, but also co-writing and vocals. Since his days with RUSSIA, Jeff has filled in with Eddie Money, Lydia Van Houston, Kathryn Grimm, and “The Skinny Little Twits”. He is an active member of BMI and continues to write and record his own music. Jeff’s present goal is to learn from the past, live in the present, and look towards the future. |
